Description

Designed for K-12 educators to develop familiarity and skills in using microcomputer-based technologies (hardware and software) to achieve learning objectives. Comm. 350 or equivalent or basic application software skills required.

Projects

Unit 3 Activity 5 With a partner, I developed a training module for purchasing a new computer.  Our primary tool was an in-class PowerPoint slideshow.  Additionally, we developed a practice assignment as well as an example rubric for grading the assignment.  Finally, we wrote a report outlining and explaining our work.
Slideshow 2.1.3 Use presentation application software to produce presentations and supplementary materials for instructional and professional purposes.
Assignment 2.0.2 Use appropriate analog and digital productivity tools to develop instructional and professional products.
Rubric 1.1.1.a Write appropriate objectives for specific content and outcome levels.
Report 4.0.1 Demonstrate leadership attributes with individuals and groups (e.g., interpersonal skills, group dynamics, team building).
Unit 4 Activity 3 Developed a tutorial for creating an Access 2007 database.  It assists in creating a simple database with customized tables, forms, queries, and reports.
Tutorial 2.1.4 Produce instructional and professional products using various aspects of integrated application programs.
Unit 6 Activity 6 Create a Jeopardy game in PowerPoint that uses a series of questions and answers to assist in preparing for an imaginary quiz over the material on a website. (view site
Jeopardy 1.1.2.d Incorporate contemporary instructional technology processes in the development of interactive lessons that promote student learning.
Final Project Develop an e-portfolio that serves as means of organizing and displaying personal information, educational achivements, professional development, and reflections with regards to my growth and development.
